Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Journal Requirement

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Research Articles: 4000–6000 words ( including abstract , Key words, notes and references)
  • Book Reviews: 1000–1,500 words
  • Author(s) must declare that the article has not been submitted to any other publisher for publication. 

JOURNAL FORMAT

The Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 spaced and for Hindi articles, it should be in Kruti Dev 10 in MS Word with proper margin on each side. Manuscripts should be organised in the following format:

1. The cover page should contain :

  • Title of the article: It should be concise and informative.
  • The name(s) of the authors with Professional/official affiliation , address for correspondence with e mail and Mob No. In case of articles with two or more authors, the corresponding author must be indicated.

(In order to facilitate blind review , the name(s) of author (s) should not appear on the first page or any of the pages of the manuscript) .

2. Abstract : Each manuscript should contain an abstract of not exceeding 250 words.

3. Keywords: Below the abstract, a set of 3 to 5 key words should be mentioned in alphabetical orders separated by coma .

4. Introduction:The manuscript should briefly  introduce the topic  stating the purpose of the study.  This part should define the background and significance of the study. The manuscript  should mention rationale of the study  and  identify  the  research   gap in previous studies.

5. Materials and Methods: Detailed description should be provided about the  analytical  procedures, experimental design, the population under study, statistical tests and  theoretical models . This part should be very clear in order to enable the scholars to understand the framework of the study.

6. Results/ Findings : The results should be concisely presented. This part must include details about observation, analysis and the significance of the findings appropriately. The  results/ findings must be presented  in logical sequence in the text, tables and illustrations. Please  do not repeat the data already mentioned  in tables, illustrations or both in the text. 

7. Discussion :  In this part , the results/findings should be interpreted and should  be related to the existing knowledge in the field as clearly as possible. The implications of the findings and their limitations should be discussed. Please do not repeat in detail about the  data given in the results section and avoid unnecessary lengthy presentation .

8. Conclusion : In this part ,   a brief summary of the study  with a concluding remarks should be given. This should include the broader significance of the work and its contribution to enrich the existing literature/knowledge.

9. Acknowledgement (if any): This part should  be mentioned at the end of the manuscript before the reference section. It can be used to acknowledge the help of those who are not qualified authors  or to acknowledge funding agencies for undertaking the study , or making  significant contribution to the research.

10. References : The references should be provided at the end of the manuscript and the in-text citation and reference style should be as per  APA (7th Edition) . The references to journal articles, books , chapter in books should be cited as follows:

  • Figures:

Figures should be self explanatory in order to enable the reader to understand easily the data/result presented in the figure. All figures should be arranged systematically and the figure number and title should be given below the figure.

  • Tables:

Tables should be numbered properly and large tables should be split into two or more tables in order to accommodate the same within the page size. The table numbers and title should be mentioned above the table without any border/shading. Please do not repeat the data that is already presented in the figures.

Publication Ethics :

• The Dawnlit Review is committed to follow internationally recognized standards of publication ethics. It adheres to the guidelines prescribed by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)..
• All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism check and AI detection using Turnitin or Dilbrit However, the authors may submit plagiarism report using these two platforms

Permissible Similarity :
• ≤ 10% similarity (excluding references, quotation, bibliography, table of content, preface , acknowledgement, symbols and generic terms )

Further, the Dawnlit Review follows the following ethics standards :
• Plagiarism and Self- Plagiarism are strictly prohibited;
• Publishing the same article in more than one Journal is prohibited;
• Submitting the article to more than one journal simultaneously is an unethical behavior;
• Publishing the same article in different languages is prohibited.

Peer Review Process :
All articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process which takes two to four weeks. After receiving the article , the same will undergo editorial process in respect of scope, format and plagiarism. Then the article will be sent to external reviewers . On the basis of peer review report , editorial board may-
Accept; or
Ask the author for Minor Revision; or
Ask the authorfor Major Revision; or
Reject.
